Sweeney Todd with Bombshell Theatre Co

Started off 2025 with Sweeney Todd by Bombshell Theatre Co at Sunset Playhouse. Sweeney Todd is one of my favorite productions. This was my third time seeing in on stage with different casts and it's always really ... I want to say fun but that feels wrong considering the plot. But the music just gets me. I also really love watching the reactions of those who clearly don't know the plot going in.

Bombshell Theatre Co always does a great job, but I was REALLY impressed with how much they were able to do with a small stage to create so many visual settings.

“Sweeney Todd” is a musical thriller about a 19th century London barber who goes on a m-rderous rampage. In the past, the evil Judge Turpin framed Todd (known then as Benjamin Barker) and r-ped his young wife. Todd was unjustly incarcerated in a penal colony for 15 years.
