WOW!!!!

As a child of the 80's, I never really had any doubt that I would LOVE this musical, but I was still surprised by HOW much I loved it. It captured such a spectrum of emotions! I don't know how anyone sat still watching this show.

The way the two timelines intertwined was really emotional and well done without any of the confusion that CAN happen sometimes when you bounce back and forth between the current day and memories. Even using single cast members for different people in each timeline, a simple shift in a single costume item or shift in mannerisms made it clear who they were. And the talent...man, could they all sing!! From young Michael to the 'current day' Michael and all the family members... phenomenal voices! The numerous costume changes and set shifts made the simplistic stage truly transform from one place to another. I've never seen a show with so much set movement that was so seamless; it just felt like part of that dance most of the time. Every song was beautiful, thoughtful, and purposeful, yet still the overall feel left me feeling like I'd really been able to experience MJ in concert.

And whatever you do, DO NOT leave early. There is a point that feels like it's done, and if you, like us, tend to rush out right at the end to beat the crowd, you might think it's your moment. But DON'T, you will miss a truly spectacular final song!!!!!
